This extension of our long established Alakazam Magic UK site has been a long time in the planning and at last it is come to fruition and we sincerely hope that you will enjoy the site and have a much easier access to our products. Your first point of contact at Alakazam Magic USA will be Michael Rappa who will be ableto help and advise you as required and above all will be able to ship your goods from within the USA, so no more waiting for your ‘new magic’ to cross the Atlantic!

Talking of crossing the Atlantic, I will be attending the IBM/SAMS Convention this year and look forward to meeting many of you in person.

Please bookmark and visit our site regularly as we update products on an almost daily basis,there will also be ‘blogs’ from myself and Michael Rappa and also from Chris North which is a name that will be new to many of you, Chris is a friend and long time associate of Alakazam Magic, he has also been a professional 40 for years and has a wealth of performing experience in all parts of the world. Hi,

My name is Chris North and welcome to my first blog for Alakazam Magic USA.

First of all, I had better tell you a little about me - I have been a professional for 40 years, most of that time as an illusionist but in recent years I have devoted my time and energy to mentalism. In the late 70’s I was fortunate to win a major TV talent competition in the UK and in the same year
won an award as the UK’s top speciality act, there then followed various TV appearances (many of which still get shown on various satellite channels which causes much embarrassment for me and much hilarity for others - as long blond hair and glittery cat suits are not as fashionable now as they were then!!!). I spent some 17 years working on cruise ships which was where my interest and dedication to mentalism began because in those days you had to come up with about 6 different cabaret spots and for me one of those was mentalism.

I still seem to be busy nowadays with cabaret spots at home and abroad and my own theatre show called MINDFORCE.

My association with Alakazam began some 5 years ago purely as a customer where I was impressed by the way that Peter always had time to discuss the ‘latest miracle’ with you and not pressure you to buy it just to get a sale. Peter and I became good friends and have a mutual respect for the very different courses we have both taken within the business and am now proud to be associated with Alakazam in both the UK and USA.
